Hi Folks,
I' m excited to share with you that I`ll be teaching a ten day course in beautiful Hawaii in the month of February 2012. The retreat will be on the Big Island of Hawaii, up in the mountains and will feature a chef cooking fresh local foods, the stunning topography of the Hawaiian Islands and of course, a huge dose of me giving you all the knowledge I have regarding the autoharp.
I`ll be touching on all aspects of the autoharp over the course. There will be sessions on tuning, maintenance, rhythm chords, melody picking, arranging, tune and lyric memorization, and tips on building confidence for public performances.
I will also reveal to you the tricks of finding "your" best singing key as well as demystifying the task of constructing any length set of music that you might wish. There will be illuminative info on the way to share your personal stories as intros to your songs or instrumentals.
40 years of playing the harp have taught me many tricks and I will share them so that you can advance your playing rapidly to levels of proficiency you might once have thought impossible. One of the greatest joys for me is seeing the light go on in peoples eyes when they get comprehension of something that had been eluding them.
There will be time for outings, and to enjoy whatever we wish to explore while we`re in paradise. Whether permitting... perhaps even some autoharp music out in the countryside under the shade of a welcoming tree..
I look forward to sharing ten days with you in beautiful Hawaii. Hopefully, with my suggestions and your practice you will be seeing improvement across the board in your autoharp playing and performance skills.
With warm regards...............................................Bryan Bowers
